Looking for thread about foam American Airlines MD-80 airliner scratchbuild

I saw it a couple of months ago, I think. Been serching desperately for it, but no luck! This guy from TX built one from scratch and also had a book out about building with foam. Hope someone can help.

TIA

Tony

The thread may have been "lost" or deleted by the author - I couldn't find it either. However, the MD-80 in question was built by Keith Sparks, "Sparks" on RCGroups, and is featured in his book about building with foam. Buy the book and support his habbit of designing cool models and letting everyone else in on the fun

Gone for a while

Sorry, I've been in the shop for a while working on this years article.
The MD-80 is still around and will be flying this summer.
I wanted to see just how light I could build a large model from foam.
She came out to 5 pounds ready to fly.
The wind kicks her around a bit but on a good day it looks real.
In hind sight I should have made a C-5.
Maybe next time.
