Simple 400 building question

In step 3 where it says "Add the top and bottom 3/32" balsa crossgrain sheeting cut from the sheetstock", am I supposed to cut those pieces out myself? There is nothing in the instructions to indicate that I should do so nor how to do so. How do I do it?

I've buit other planes with the crossgrain sheeting. It seems easiest to me to glue one end of the stock sheet to the fuse with Ca and then trim it flush with the fuse side. Glue the next piece on and continue this until done. No measuring and no mistaken cuts!

Yup...That works too. Great way to get rid of balsa scrap too.
