Telebee/Tedani's Head Lock n. Standard System 400Gyro Review
Some time ago this little gyro appeared here being sold from
http://www2.tedani.com/product_info.php?products_id=371 a rebadged Telebee. You can download the manual from the web site. The original telebee site shows it here http://www.telebee.com.hk/ It appears to have the functionality of the Futaba 401 i.e. switched HH in/out and remote gain control from TX but is considerably cheaper. I have never used a 401 or any gyro with remote gain control so I am learning here too For the lighter micros we are using here at only 11.8g it could be just the thing. Anyway I decided to buy one and as I am in the UK and the £ so strong against the $, it only cost £44 compared to over £100 we currently pay for the 401. Fortunatley Mr Customs appears to have been happy to let it through as well ![]() First thing to say is that my mail exchanges with Tedani from Hong Kong prior to purchase were excellent and parcel turned up well wrapped within 7 days. Here's the packaging : Last edited by jerrysimon; Oct 28, 2004 at 01:00 PM. |

It appears the packaging is for a larger gyro as removing the sticky labels reveals larger dimensions.
The top of the gyro shows the manual gain adjust and set led. A reverse tail servo switch is on the side Last edited by jerrysimon; Oct 28, 2004 at 12:24 PM. |

I have put it along side my GY240 which was previously on my Zoom 400.
As you can see it's tiny. The lead coming out has a connector for the RX and another for the remote gain/hh switch in out I think. A further 3 pin connector is provided for the tail servo. Last edited by jerrysimon; Oct 28, 2004 at 12:27 PM. |

I was going to start by trying it on my Eolo but it almost seems too small for that so I may start with it on the Zoom.
The bad news is that you will have to wait for a day or two as both my Eolo and Zoom are currently being rebuilt I know one or two others have tried it so feel free to in chip here as you want. I need to go off now and read the instructions as I said, as I have not used a gyro like this before. Regards Jerry Last edited by jerrysimon; Oct 28, 2004 at 02:12 PM. |

Good stuff Jerry...
I ordered mine from Tedani on the 23rd of Oct, and got this e-mail this morning (29th Oct)... This is the second of two e-mails from Tedani, the first of which was the auto-generated order confirmation on the 23rd. Quote:
I just looked up my order history from the website, and it show's this... Quote:

I posted a link back here from Runryder and someone there states it is not as good as the 240/401 (not surprisingly) but still better than the HLG200 which I have had two and found pretty rubbish myself
http://www.runryder.com/helicopter/t138182p1/ I would have to say that in terms of exterior quality that it does not appear as good but then they are in hard cases anyway. Anyway back to building. Regards Jerry. |

I don't like to make excuse and admitted that I shipped the gyro a little bit late. Please don't forget to look at the date chop on the stamp and tell the truth to others.

.As you read in my post "I'm not sure if this means that it's only just been shipped, or if it is just some sort of confirmation that it was shipped on the 23rd", you can tell that I am confussed by the e-mails. The reason for this confussion is that nowhere on the e-mail of 29 Oct, does it state the actual shipping date, and when I look up the order history and see... 10/23/2004 Pending PayPal Notification 10/23/2004 Processing 10/29/2004 Shipped So,I think "6 Days to get it ready for shipping is a little disappointing", after all, there is nothing to state that it is not a stocked Item. I was, as you could imagine, just a little shocked to see that it may have taken 6 days to pick, pack and post a stocked item, and then possibly take the extra quoted 8~14 days shipping... Anyway, I look forward to the little gyro's arrival, and yes, I will look at the date on the stamp and "tell the truth to others" as you state... I have been truthfull (although confussed) thus far, I have no reason to not tell the truth ![]() Jerry Quote:

Please accept my apology. I really don't mean to be like that. All I wanted to say in my last message is that: I admitted that I shipped out the gyro late. I could have made up a beautiful story, but I didn't do that because it was really my fault. Please tell people the post date and the date you placed your order. (I'm gonna make an excuse , you placed the order on Friday night. Therefore, shipment was actually 2 days late. )Once again, please accept my apology. Salute! |

Pitts, if it's for a scale heli I would have been tempted to use a GWS PG-03. These are excellent non HH gyros and I have had several still using one in my Piccolo FP and one in my Corona and it is fine. I intially had one in my Zoom 400 too.
Re Tedani's post, I think there is a language thing going on here so lets give him the benefit of the doubt. As I said my exchange with him was excellent and the gyro arrived in 6 or 7 days ![]() I hope to try the gyro out today in my Eolo first as that is the one nearly rebuilt. Regards Jerry |
