JR XP8103 battery plug

Does anyone know where I could find a battery plug and leads for a JR XP8103 transmitter? I am planning to mke a higher capacity battery pack for this transmitter and keep the stock battery as a spare.

Thanks;
Rod

I got mine from MPI Maxx. I believe it is #2803. You can also find the mate there, #2810, if you want to make up a charging cord. Both come with wire pigtails in place.

I finally gave up on my jr 8103 batteries, and got a duralite lithium pack. now works very well . I also just got a power duck antenna, but have not had a chance to test it.

Hi All.
I am also not happy with the NiCd's on my 8103. Very low time...

I want to go with NiMh or Lithium. Which is better & safer and how much do they cost.

TIA.

That I believe is nimh. I use my lithium pack, because lithium has very little self discharge, in that I can leave the transmitter for months at a time with little to no chance in voltage.

Yes my pack was NIMH. Haven't tried Lithium in my transmitter yet but seems like another good option to me. The one drawback with NIMH is that they seem to discharge quite a bit if you don't use them and charge them. Over the winter I have to cycle all of my NIMH batteries to keep them up to par.

Well, it's 70 in Omaha, Nebraska! But in a couple months it will be about 0-20. Suppose it will be just a wee bit warmer in SC then! Someone please remind me why I live here?????

Hi Rhett.
Where did you get the Lithium pack and what kind of charger you need for it. The only LiPo charger I have is the Apache 2500.

TIA.

http://www.duralitebatteries.com/ The apache will work. I have an orbit pro, but all you need is a charger that can charge 3 cells ( I believe you can do up to four). Depending on the connector you have installed, you can buy an adaptor from tower hobbies that goes from jst to the transmitter prong, and it works well, and is only a few bucks.
