Which motor for the Wemotec Midi Fan??
I was looking at the Wemotec Midi fan, the 90mm one on the wemotec site. It says it can produce up to 20N of thrust, or roughly 5 pounds of thrust. My questions is this: What motor are they using to reach those figures? I imagine it would be a brushless using a lipo for power. Anyone know the answers to this?? Suggestions would be very greatfull as well.

Any quality brushless motor capable of 600 watts will do it.
Kontronik Fun 600.20 for example
If you use a motor with 2000 rpm per volt (2000 Kv) you can use 14-18 cells.
Suitable cells would be RC2400 nicads, GP3300 Nimhs, or equivalent.

In my Harrier I'll be using a Midi Fan with an Aveox 36-30-2 and i'll probably get the jeti 77 amp cus it can go upto 30 cells, or the hacker 77 opto..... (i think they are the exact same esc, just that one has the hacker wraping on it) off of probably 6s4p up to 8s3p.... I should be around 1250 watts to 1450 watts depending on battery. Talk about power,,, I hope i have enough.
