Correct.
I think the pic is from a Japanese airshow. The caption mentioned that this one is one of the few remaining C-46es that is not a wreck in a jungle...

*** anybody want to post some pics?

Here's one still flying in Canada.
It's also featured in a TV series called Ice Pilots on History Channel here in the frozen north.

1979? That was just 'yesterday' !

Have you no printed sources further back than that?

No wonder you quote incorrect internet sources!

That simply confirms that you are a fraud!

You had to look up (or backtrack) the F-104 and T-2 CCVs to identify them ? - really, honestly ?........surely you must be joking, or an aviation babe in the woods..... some of us remember them from when they were flying!

Open letter to all participants....

BV is an aviation fraud (3300 books back to 1979, really - and none of which apparently that he's read or prepared to quote from!)

Folks, if you believe anything that this guy has to say you are doing yourselves an absolute injustice, all he knows is how to cut and paste from websites....

I'm out of here, it is just tooooooo ridiculous working with children (even if they are 45 year old children)

BV, when you start a real aviation library let someone know. (as a starting point I recommend Jane's All the World's Aircraft back to before WWI - I have 53 editions), then you might start to have some cred! (1979! ROTFLMAO indeed, I've got the full run of Flying Review International which was out of print by 1971! [The remains of the mag were then taken over and eventually became Air International] - and it's predecessor RAF Flying Review back to '53 and Aeroplane magazine as far back as '27 and that's just some of the magazines!)

Thank you BV, you've just let everyone know just how much of a fraud you really are!

Worst of all you actually believe that you are an aviation guru..........

Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!

Not worthy BV, simply not worthy!

Show us your skills, BV, this one's only for you to identify.........

I reckon at least one person on this forum (other than BV) might be able to ID this one, but, that person, please remain silent, so we can see BV in action.

Simply hilarious!

Who is Beryl Markham.
What is her Vega, VP-KCC, presumably when setting out on her transatlantic flight
When, assuming it is on her flight, would be Sept 4, 1936.
