I think the name change is a good idea as these airplanes aren't used for racing for the most part. High performance might be better as there is a new Ezone collumn coming for Competition.

Potential name change for this forum

Please chime in if you feel strongly one way or the other.

I am considering renaming this forum to "Competition" to broaden its scope slightly.

why?...sounds like you'd be limiting it even more with calling it 'competition'.

Then you should have "small fast plane", "large fast plane", "small slow plane", "large slow plane".

Competition is a very limited field in the e-community. How many people here actually entered a race?

I think you should keep it as "pylon", otherwise, you will have to change the "sailplane" to Hotliners, F3B,....It will never end. Someone come up with a new thing, are you going to creat a new forum? Don't mess with success.

High Performance is good, but how about explicitly including F5B? How about "High Performance & F5*" or "High Performance & FAI"

If you are considering changing things, I think there is a good case for amalgamating the EDF and Scale forums.

Neil.

If you get too generic, it can cause some confusion. For instance, to prevent high performance EDF flyers from posting here, you'd need to make it High Performance Prop.
