Would this also be including F5B planes, competition gliders, and etc., and would it be excluding planes such as the Simple 400, Twister, etc? If so I like the name Pylon better. I suppose it's always a bit more comfortable not to have to change, but it's your baby. I'll still check it out no matter what you'd like to rename it to! I read all the forums except Heli's (I'm afraid that would get me into buying even more than I am already).

How 'bout a name related in some way to speed/performance? Pylon and F5bish stuff? I always hear that people steer away from comp related stuff although I'd kill to have some friendly competition over here! Fact is, I've been selling off my many S400 planes as there's no one to fly with...just keeping my favorite ones

Yeah, I too would shy away from a forum labeled 'competition' as there is none in my area so I don't (that and I am not near good enough). But if the intent of the forum is to focus more on true competition, then I say go for it.

If you want to bring over some of the posts that get overlooked from the Sailplane forum, then perhaps something a bit different? Of course I have absolutely no suggestion though……

No matter, I'll still visit and make a nuisance of myself just the same

Perhaps change it to "Competition/Pylon" to keep everyone happy?

Sounds good to me either way.

This sounds good, but "high performance" is very non-specific. It could apply equally well to a well-designed slowfly plane as it might to F5B/D. Maybe most people would assume "high performance" = "hot?"

I didn't frequent the "Pylon" forum because as a relative beginner, I was intimidated by all the "F" words, and speed was my enemy.

Now that I'm a better flyer, I drop by a lot, even built a Simple 400.

I don't race competitions, so that name would turn me off.

High Performance means different things to different folks.

How about "The Fast Lane" (TFL)

High Performance sounds good.

The description should be enough to explain all the models included like hotliners, pylons, and etc...
