This Bug is awsome, I have about 20 (twenty) hours flight time on her using the same stock 350 motor and a couple HD 1060 props. Using the CG recommended from the manual, my elevons are about 1/4" up to maintain level flight, inverted flight is no problem but the outside loop is not easy (for my EasyBug), roll is not axel and she is a perfect hovering bug.
Here's my setup: Stock 350 motor, "C" gear HD 1060 prop on GWS prop saver 3 pico servos Pixie 7 esc 2S lipo (Kokam 340 or Irate 830) AUW with LG is 9.8 oz W/340 lipo and 10.5oz W/830 Now, I'm flying her using the cd-rom brushless motor and the flying character is a little bit different, the stock motor system has lots of thrust and the cd-rom brushless is like a silent and speedy flight. |

Reflex = yes
Mine does too. Can't remember the CofG location, but am using:
- stock 350 + HD9050 + CC Pixie20 - Ko 1500 3S - Berg / Schulze micro receiver - some added tape on the wings - no rudder servo (not got round to fitting it yet - will probably not now, and get a Pizza to try that out) - a little tail down (-ve reflex) in the foam between the elevons - due to stepping on the trailing RX lead that was taped to this bit = 1/4 to 1/2" reflex to trim Performance ++ although of course with 3S I limit WOT - inside / outside loops fine - inverted flight a bit squirelly (likely due to pilot )- ROG in ~3', even on thick grass - good vertical performance (black tape underneath helps with orientation at altitude!) - supremely crashworthy (although I'd like to get some thin / 3mm Depron to try some alternative wing shapes / replace the taped up wing rips !) |

So I moved my pack back to move the CG back and now it is at the back end of the recommended CG and still requires about 1/2 inch of elevon reflex for level flight at anything but full throttle.
Do others use even further back CGs or what? |

When I fly her with the stock motor, I place the pack all the way to back in the battery compartment and sometimes I put the pack on top of the radio compartment.
Now with the cd rom BL, I move the pack all the way to the front and sometimes covering the landing gear mount, the elevons are set at 1/8" up to fly level at about 1/2 throttle. I'm kind of miss the flying characteristic with the stock motor/gb since the thrust and the power curve is much better. I always fly her with the landing gear and it looks better in the air. |
