Fly Brushless!
|
Nascar Race Day at Dover Downs (Real AP)
I took this pic from this T-41A (Cessna 172 used for USAF pilot training)... Me at the controls... What a great day of flying the Colonel and I had. A bit hazy but close to zero wind. It was beautiful. The race is on TNT network right now. The top pic was taken about 2 hours before race start. Here are even more pics from the flight. http://hawker.smugmug.com/gallery/232832/1/9033167 Last edited by Hawker; Sep 26, 2004 at 04:28 PM. |

They were all taken with my trusty Nikon 3700 (same one that flys on my
Slow Stick). I have 5 large movies as well from the flight, mostly of touch and goes. It was so much fun. I really want to get going on my private pilot's license again. |

My first thought was you were using some kind of exotic german camera with expensive optics. Maybe a scale plane is just steadier than the average RC plane. Gwelan |

Yeah, it does seem to be an excellent camera that produces fantastic
results. What's more, is that it comes with an A/V cable that allows you to hook it into video input on your TV. I just tried it with today's pics and movies and it is stunning! The video is silky smooth (640x480 at 30fps) and the sound is fantastic as well. The pictures look equally stunning on TV. This little journey today made me love this camera even more than I already did.

Hawker,
A few years ago I had a Cessna 172 and played around with AP for a while. I would disconnect the sprint bar on the window so I could open it all the way. This way I didn't have any plexiglass obstructions and got clear results. It was cool because the wind would hold the window fully open. Did you do something similar? |
