Raster to Vector conversion program.

I have just come on to some freeware site that might be helpful.
This is a free download on a conversion program that will take 3 views of a
scanner and converts this in to many file formats.
Among the File formats are DXF, Tiff and others, the name off the website is
Wintopo

http://www.ayeone.com/wintopo.htm

Hope this will help some one.

Lots of documentation photos of planes in the UK, plus some neat photos of Gibraltar, circa 1935.

These decals are for smaller scale models but these are one heck of a great reference and if you're good enough, a great source for artwork to be scaled up for whatever scale you are working in as well as a good color reference...

This site's in French, but easy to understand. Most of the 3-views are of gliders (3 vues) .

Hans: My pleasure. I've had a lot of fun via the E-Zone and learned a lot. I'm glad to be able to contribute back to it.

For those of you interested in the early aircraft, WW1 Aeroplanes published a "Scale Model" issue a number of years back that provided a pile of information on how to make scale parts, wheels, covering, and just about anything else you can think of. I wouldn't be surprised if this issue isn't still available in reprints. It's worth it's weight in gold for those of us who are anal about our early aircraft models.
