Flying field in Manila, Philippines??? Any one?

I'm Going to visit family in Manila in a couple weeks. I'm looking for a field in the Parañaque/ Manila area. And can you recomend a good discount hobby shop? And does anyone know the frequency there?

Butch,

There are a number of flying sites within the vicinity of Manila. The nearest would be the Aseana site in the reclaimed area in Manila Bay along Roxas Blvd. There are also two flying site near Bacoor cavite. Other notable flying sites includes Baradas in Tanuan Batangas and Kamikaze field in Angeles, Pampanga. You can search this forum for Philippine EP Flyers and Tocinowack regarding past and present flying activities here.

There are a number of hobby shops here - Duck RC in Makati Cinema Sq.which exclusively deals with electric and Lils Futaba in Parksquare 1 in also in Makat and Lils Hobbies in SM Megamall in Mandaluyong City. Actually there are a number of shops scattered in the city but most deal with RC Cars. You can also ask directions for the different flying sites available from these shops.

Forgot to mention, the frequencies used here are a mix of 72, 40(japanese) and 35 mhz. There are no known restrictions regarding frequencies though is it the practice in most sites to ask flyers for their frequencies before attempting to fly.

As for discount, as far as I know, Duck RC is the best. You can ask the owner, Pato for your requirements. You'll be surprise of the prices...most are cheaper than those you find back in the states.
