Not so Slow Vee (mods N Pics)

Liked the looks of the Horizon Hobby Slow Vee but raised the power to a cobalt 11 turn and am useing Hitec gear .the replacment parts were about 40 dollars for the skeleton slow Vee .., Im useing the GP1100 very nice cells! and the motor also has a little epoxy on the carbon fiber shaft + those 3 ties the battery tray had to be relocated back about 3 inches and the reciver was piggy backed under the wing..over 120 Watts woohoo! Cheers Mike B.

That is very sweet but you have the tail on upside down. The control horns are supposed to be on the bottom and you have to cross the control rods so that the left side servo operates the right side tail surface and the right side servo operates the left side control surface. That is on a stock Slo V.

Good point but wene I was seting it up the horns on the top put no bend in the rods and on the bottom it did so I went horns up . as far as cris cross all my gear is custom so I just rigged it strait out no cris cross. I flew it today had to move the battery back forward it prefers nose heavy even with just 5mph breeze.Cheers mike B.

Bought a Pico Slow V tail assy and popped it on my Slow Stick. I too find that this new set-up likes weight forward.

seems the slow Vee is a close kin to the slow stick by GWS the wings are the exact same size and the rods are the same size wheels same hardware same , might be made by GWS for Horizon?

Have you ever flowen this plane?

If you haven't, good luck on your madin flight.

The tail's stabs need to be lowered about 5 degrees.

I'm affraid that this is no longer a Slow Flyer with that spector moter on it!!
