Clearing a jammed Daisy Red Ryder BB Gun

Sorry- for the lack of politics / conspiracy theory in this thread! I hope I won't be removed by the moderator

My son's bb gun jammed and refuses to unjam using the method in the instructions.

Is there any thing else I should try before I "return to manufacturer?"

Try shaking it around. Take the butt and hit it on the ground to see if it'll dislodge.

Not sure what else to do.

I did try running a rod down the barrell today, Found an immovable object---"premium" daisy bb... about 4 inches from the muzzel. seemed reluctant to move. disassembly, or shipping back to Daisy for service is probably the only answer a this point Not happy.
BTW: I don't think my son Evan would look very good in a dress... my daughter on the other hand, will look adorable firing the gun when she gets a bit older!

Back when I was shooting/handloading, the idiot running the press would sometimes forget to put the powder in the cartridge. Primer, yes, bullet, yes..
But no go-juice.
The result would be a bullet stuck in the barrel.
I used a 1/4" diameter steel rod to push the bullet out.
I have a 9mm Colt 1911 barrel with a nice bulge in it, where the bullet stuck, and the next one pushed it out.
For the Daisy, a 1/8" diameter steel rod should do that, from the breech end of the barrel.
Trickle a little WD-40 on both sides of the obstruction..

You could always try reverse engineering...... compressed air blowing down the barrel back to the "chamber". This assumes you have access to a compressor and a rubber tipped blow-gun.

Try heating the barrel a little bit. Might let the barrel expand just enough to let the bb fall out. Also the try the wd-40.

Put it on ebay as a slightly used rare model...use the proceeds to buy antother end of aggravation.

Maybe you could exchange it for an AK-47 assault rifle.

No kid nowadays who is really a "stone gangsta" would be want to seen with a BB gun in front of his homies.

After all, they're legal now.

THe plastic thing available today... barf!
I had the real one!You could remove the barrel, get into the swimming pool, cock it and shoot a stream of water! Great fun!
Also made for a short-lived b-b gun.

Mine executed numerous birds.
I bought one recently out of nostalgia, and was disappointed.. it's not the gun me or Ralphie ("Christmas Story") learned to love.
