I just ordered a Prolux charger from Bev at Zoom, quite a deal, it was like $35 Shipped!
She says I can expect to see it in about 4 Weeks. I just Emailed Bev @ Zoom & filled out her order form & supplied my Credit Card Number for payment. -Mike- |

Hi,
As I already own one of these prolux chargers which I use for charging Li-po's for my Zoom, my question is can I use this it to charge Li-ion batteries ( 11.1 v 1900mha) or should I buy another charger for this. Ian |

Great review, could the link to this review be stickied in the batteries/chargers forum?
I also wish some of USA vendors would start selling these at lower price than E-Flite! |

I sent Horizon an E-mail today suggesting that if they lowered their price on this charger, they would get more orders.
They replied back and said sales is not their major goal! They want to support their dealers and provide product information. I guess Bev and Trev at zoom will get my business instead.

RT,
The quick answer is no, it doesn't matter - it'll still charge your lipos. However, it is now accepted that it is good practise to balance-charge your batteries, in order to prolong their useful life - I have a couple of 3S1P TP2100 mA batteries from 2004 that are in regular use still. I had to add balance leads myself (carefully!), but it certainly 'perked' them up once I was able to balance charge them. What you can do is purchase an add-on balancer, that will fit between charger and battery. I have a Flightpower V-balance unit, which can also balance the cells on its' own, without connection to a charger - ok it's discharging the cells, but it will get them all in balance for you. Tom |

You're welcome
My Prolux chager is still in regular use (most weekends) I have more 'exotic' chagers, but this is so easy to use Tom |
