is it Trev and Bev (Zoom) you emailed?
Yep the email from their website. I guess that would explain the lack of response.

Here's a website that has the Prolux and ships to the US (They are in Australia). The total with S&H to get it to Illinois is $48.80. Not $35 but still under $50.

They have a lot of good stuff and the rpices aren't too bad. Wish they were closer!

I guess it's 6 of one, half dozen of another. The Horizon Hobby total comes to $52.98 with S&H (S&H is 7.99 since it's over $25) and they are currently out of stock. Guess it depends on when you need it and how bad you want those few extra bucks. . Always good to know of another choice, tho.

For all us Canadians out there, this charger is available from great hobbies as the Celectra, EFLC3005, cost 59.99. sounds a good deal, Prairieray, Saskatoon.

ZOOM WILL ship the Prolux to the US :)

Hi Everyone,

Sorry it's taken me so long to get back to you all. Family and work commitments have been keeping me rather busy of late.

I've just popped in to quickly let you know the following:

Trev and Bev are now back from overseas. I spoke to Trev today and yes they will ship to the US. Bev is finding out shipping costs now for you.

Trev also mentioned that their email box was jammed full of enquiries from the US about purchasing the Prolux (Hmmm I wonder why that is? ).

They are wading through the backlog as I type, so if you have sent them a message, rest assured you will be receiving a reply in due course .

Regards,

Jon

PS. Individual questions comments about the product/review I'll try to get back on over the next few days. Please bear with me as things are still pretty hectic down here. I have a massive backlog of forum/email stuff to deal with, but I promise you will all get replies as I get time to answer them. Thanks!

Got my charger over the weekend and used it on all my lithium batteries - it worked a treat

An excellent piece of kit, at a very good price!

Nice one Tom! And yeah at 16 quid that price would be very close to our $45.00NZ, excellent!

Hope you enjoy it. Over half of the regular flyers at Christchurch Microhelis (my local club) are now sporting these chargers

From down under to Chicago

I got mine from ModelFlight and it does indeed do the job! Even had a bevy of nice Aussie stamps on the airmail package. It arrived from the other side of the world quicker than some of my stateside purcahses and I'm amazed at what such a tiny thing can do. Mine's the green one, nice, but not quite as slick as Tom's candy apple job.

Has anyone bought a Prolux from Zoom Resources? The reason I ask is I feel a little uncomfortable about faxing a CC number overseas to a relatively unknown company. If everything seems to be on the up and up I'd really like to purchase one as they are a very good bargain. (Horizon's Celectra, which appears to be identical, would cost about 50% more if you include shipping.)

Hi Gary,

I don't know if any of the overseas (from our point of view ) purchasers frequent this discussion forum, but I can tell you that I was talking to Trev (From Zoom) the other day.

He was telling me that they have been inundated with overseas orders from Australia, Canada, South Africa, USA, UK and others . Hopefully some of these buyers might come in and give their impressions for you.

I know this might not seem like much of a recommendation, but I do know Trev and Bev personally, and I give you my personal assurance that they are good people and will not rip you off.

Zoom has been operating for years (more than 10 I think! - I've known Trev and Bev for 9.) and have a great reputation here in NZ for providing good product at a good price with excellent customer service.

Regards,

Jon

Hi Jon,

I had emailed Trev and Bev the other day about finding a contact at Prolux. You see, I'm in Taiwan where Prolux is located. I emalied Prolux in order to find a place where I could buy the charger here, or to see if they could send me one, but I've had no response. Anyway, haven't heard anything from Zoom. I was hoping that Bev or Trev could put me in touch with the right person at Prolux. Then again, maybe that might be some sort of conflict of interest, I dunno.
