Sites on how to do aerobatic manuevers?

Alright guys,

I graduated from the 3 channel and moved myself up to 4 channels today!

Here is my progression:

Firebird XL
Firebird II
Tigermoth
Pico Stick
FMA Razor
Chubby Lady
Crazy Max

I have an Radical R/C Edge 3D that I had built a long time ago, but was very afraid of it when I saw my friend, who is a much more experienced pilot, crash 3 times. The ship seems too fragile for someone like me to do aileron training on. Thats why I went to the Crazy Max. I know it can't do everything that the Edge can, but it seems like it would be easier to fix if I make a mistake and crash it.

Today was the maiden voyage of my brand-spanking new Crazy Max. I ran it through 3 battery packs (8-cell 700mAh AAA NiMH) and did not crash. I had 3 excellent landings, 2 on grass and 1 in the parking lot that was perfect. I was very afraid of the ailerons initially but found that it was really no problem. The Crazy Max seems like an awesome airplane, not quite as fast as my Razor but in the same speed ball-park. It was a lot more manueverable than my Razor. I did 4 perfect loops in a row and still had a lot of altitude to spare.

So, my question is... I am a fairly new pilot and wanting to know how to do some of the aerobatic manuevers that I hear about (eg. Barrel-roll, knife-edge, torque roll, etc.) Anybody know of a site that has step-by-step information on how to do these or at least explainations or tips?

Yours (in 4 channels),

Bill

Thanks BC.

Some of your posts have helped me out on the Tiger Moth as well as the Crazy Max. Keep up the good work.

Hey Bill,
Check out this site, It's part of Horizon hobbies page. I hope the links work. If not go to their site, click on the airplane site, then select the archive articles, go down the list until you see 3D part one, and part two. It has great pictures of the aerobatic moves as well as a decription on how to perform them.

Good luck,
Steven
