Which of the above makes the best trainer and why?

Neither! The Easystar would make a far better trainer....

Hi,

I have an Easystar but wanted to pregress to an aileron trainer - I should have made that clear.

The TwinStar as an aileron trainer.

The Cargo - too many modifications needed to make it fly right.

The TwinStar is a much better trainer for several reasons:

- As DD pointed out, the Cargo doesn't fly well out of the box. The TS is an excellent flier when built absolutely stock.
- The TS is a lot more docile than the Cargo; whilst it looks big and slow, in flight the Cargo moves right along, and takes a fair amount of room to stop once it's down.
- The TS is much cheaper. When you dork it, you won't feel so bad about it. 8)

I love my TS. Which reminds me, I should take it out and fly it tomorrow...
