Can you post a picture of the problem? That would help a lot.

You need a tool called a "die". Taps and dies usually come in sets, but you might be able to get the one you need from a specialty tool store. You might also try to find someone who already has a tap & die set with the size you need. The die will screw onto the shaft and cut new threads in the bad section.

Remove the GB from the motor...Apply a small amount of heat while you attempt to loosen the screw.....be careful not to apply too much heat as it will warp your shaft....
Good Luck..
Spot.
If it is cross-threaded do what Miami said too.
If you are using thread lock...I hope it is blue....

I would suggest removing the motor and then taking the E clip off.
It's the clip that holds the drive shaft on.

BECAREFUL because the little sucker is hard to find.

You can then use pliers to hold the shaft and take action.

I have several replacement drive shafts ($1.25) and a pack of E clips ($1.00 for 20) I got from Hobbytown.

It really helps having them around when they are needed.

What Vintage said. I usually buy 10 to 15 at a time. I order 20 props at a time as well. I hate being grounded by a $2.00 item.
