Saw my first turbine today!

Wow! the sound alone was incredible. Seems to be about the same top speeds as some of the fast sailplanes (175-200mph), but the turbine sound is something else. Very impressed!

pretty amazing, right? I was blown away the first time I saw one, and the second, and the third. where did you see it? I've only seen them fly at apollo 11 ( sepulveda basin area). Although they are amazing, the are a bit of a hastle to deal with, but the sound is amazing, and I love the heat waves off the back.

I was also at sepulveda. There seem to be a few regulars that fly turbines there. I just started flying my electrics there since slope season is coming to an end.
