Sanding Formica templates the easy way!
I thought I'd share a great way to sand concave and convex surfaces the easy way!
I ripped a 1/4" wide strip off of a belt sander belt, and clamped the strip in my scroll saw. I used a worn out 120 grit belt (all I had) and it sanded very quickly and accurately....I could literally sand away half of the line on my template! Don't use too much speed or pressure because the sandpaper strip will heat up and break.
If the belt wears out, put a 1" piece of wood on the table and expose a whole new section of the belt.
Formica templates have never been quicker and easier!

I also used them, in a water-jet cutting machine
But now I find an easy way too: thin ply 1/64" or 1/32" with scissors - a good combination.
