I ordered a Tiger moth! What now?

Well after reading all the threds on the moth, I went and ordered one! I think it will be a great slowflier. I also ordered a GWS sub-micro pico flight pack. Is there any special steps I have to be carefull with or mods I should do when I build this? I got a 6 cell 7.3v , 1/3AA 280mah Ni-Mh battery to go with it. What other types of batteries give good flight time?
Thanks, I'm sure I'll have more questions when the building starts!

Welcome to eflight!
Go to:
http://rcguy.tripod.com/store.htm and order the eflight 300 ma NiMH or the right side of page or cut some foam from the battery compartment and order the larger 300's from www.radicalrc.com
Either work fine.

Go and see your bank manager and see if you can get your credit card limit extended.

Also see if you can arrange the bill to be posted to you "discreetly" disguised as something else so your partner is kept in the dark.

Make a new landing gear from 1/16 wire using stock one as pattern. Kit lg is to floppy.

Make the axles long enough to use the new DuBro super lite weight wheels, or the Dave Brown lite flight wheels ( I have the DB on mine ) TM will not notice tiny weight increase.

Todds Models has some nice little 7 cell NImh packs for aroung $15 that work well and give 10+ min flight times. You will need to open up the battery compartment a little. Best to do before gluing halves of fus together.

If you are going to abuse it, flying wires from the lower wing joiner piece, just outside of fus, to the upper part of the wing struts will stiffen up the wings a lot with no weight gain. I used
20 lb monofilament colored with a marking pen.

This is the most fun model I have had in 40 yrs of rc!!! Just pure fun, flight without fear!
And they thermal great!! Doesn't sound like much, but finding thermals can be quite challenging!
