When Divrdan wrote: "> > > > > BullShit... PROVE it." I think he's made
a good point. A "speed checker" isn't proof of anything.

I could lift 500lbs if I wanted to.

OK, I'll take it one step further:

Show me mathematical proof the vehicle does 114MPH and I will send you
$100.00 (US) via paypal.

I am not buying it either. There is no way that trx POS will keep up with
JP Black .21s RB Concepts, or OPS engines. get real with a Bolink type kit
it isn't going to happen

toss in another hundred. We'll get the wager up over 500.00 for him to

You know, by the time the wager gets serious 500+ then the same car probably
won't show up! Same old game the 1:1 racers will play from time to time.

Besides, if a model dragster cannot do this in the 132', who cares? I mean
if you build it for a purpose and then don't achieve this goal in that arena
(200' right?), why not just change the rules so you can spew a buch of
crapola? And, if this is done in an "oval" fashion, it must be one hell of
an arc since rails don't turn worth a damn at any speed above idle.

I know, I know, the next thing we will probably hear from Atom Boy is "The
streets will flow with the blood of the non believers!" or something like
that. BWAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

And to add the "can" muffler and single speed drive train, yea right. I bet
it can really hit 60mph at best.

Ok first off here is the math
clutchbell 18t spurgear 60t final gear ratio 3.333 to 1,tire dia
3.225 est rpm 37,000.estamated top speed=rpm divided by final drive
ratio multiplied by tire diameter divided by 336.135= estamated top
speed which is 106.5 mph.
Ok thats @37,000 rpm thats usually a stock range for a .12 to .15
engine. As i mentioned i turbo ported the block and gave a link to how
in previous post.Maybe i am reaching 40,000+ . Traxxas will not
release the rpm range of a trx pro.15 by the way.(call them)
And just some other tidbit i have heard and read many times that a trx
mill is capable of lots more power when ported correctly.I have also
seen some stock motors for no reason at all perform real well stock
for some reason.Could be the breakin?
But anyway i just wanted to share my hobby with the group and not be
the center of a flame.I dont understand why i am so disbeleived?
Oh and the can muffler i tried a mip stinger first it fit well but the
can muffler i feel works well.It also has some modifications.

So basically someone is going to comeback and say hey this math is not
true
That person will be the one slinging the B.S cause it is real math ask
someone who knows before you flame that.

I didn't flame your math. You claim the car does 114MPH. Divrdan said
prove it. You said you didn't have to. That's what is getting flamed.

Your math checks out (yes I checked it lol), but your estimation is way off.
106.5 is THEORETICAL top speed in a FRICTIONLESS environment. You have
neglected driveline drag, and wind resistance, of which both become large
factors at those speeds.

I would take at least 15% off those figures just as an all out guess to get the
actual estimated speeds. Don't forget that wind resistance is an exponential
relationship, not linear.

Theory and conjecture are fine. But in the real world, as already
mentioned, there are things called drag coefficients, friction, and good old
fashion chassis flexc (which the bolink has plenty of) that come into play.
Your math has alread been proven faulty by others, so I won't even bother
with that. Using a good, old style eye and kowledge of the equipment you
have, the reality is this: It isn't going to happen.

But, being the good natured person that I am (yea right!), IF you can
provide proof such as certified readings from say a radar gun or sanctioned
racing body, then I will certainly believe you. But when you can't do this,
then you will have to respect my right to say you are full of crap. (can
muffler <snickers> :-) ) As of this moment, all you can really say is I
THINK it will go this fast and the car has a decent paint job.

oooh, harsh!

He did say that he has a video of it, so why doesnt some one that has the
equipment (Video capture card and VCR) offer to encode a copy for him and
put it on the www interweb thingy (Internet ;-) )

This may go some distance to alleviating the flaming in this thread amnd may
even prove or disprove the claims and allegations!

There is no fault to my math first off.
I changed the way the chassis flexed early on with a stiff spring and
some other components.(my photo's will show that)I also have ceramic
bearings throughout the vehicle. Also with no start crank and vented
flywheel, traxxas finned alluminum back cover(which plugs 1/2" into the
crankcase gives the motor more inside pressure)With all of these and
the engine mod itself let me lean the motor drastically which i
beleive let me acheive very non typical rpm ranges.(i would actually
like to dyno test the motor)Like i said before i am in between jobs at
the present and do not have the money for a video card otherwise i
would do the mpeg thing.
But understand I am very proud of what i did and know matter how much
you try to knock, mock and criticize me I really dont damn about you or
your jealous smartass comments miss Shannon( i am asuming you to be
female considering the name)I really dont care what you beleive i was
just sharing info about something i worked very hard on. I surely dont
need some hack knocking it down. Thanks to the people who liked it and
respected the hobby instead of calling me a liar.

Guess again sweet cheeks. Try 6'1" and 250#s of TEXAN that has no use for
Yankees. You see here in the south, we don't like truth stretching yankees.
If you really have to put it on a dyno, then send a real mail address and I
am sure it can be arranged. There happens to be a gentelman in town that
has built a dyno just for that purpose. He heavily mods serious engines and
I am sure that this would prove or disprove your claims of superior
horsepower, rpms and craftsmanship. Box it up and ship it - UPS is really
cheap.

PS - No offense intended towards Divrdan007 since he is a transplant and is
allowed back if he wants!

No one is calling you a liar. We said you're bullshitting us.

On 2004-08-22 00:08:50 PST you typed:

"My personal best speed was 114 mph yes 114 mph(i have video
confirmation and am currently in correspondence with Guiness about the
feat)"

We replied: bullshit, prove it.

You haven't proved it, and you haven't mentioned that maybe you made a
mistake in how fast it goes. So we're going along with the idea that you
are in fact bullshitting us.

Did I mention I can lift 500lbs?
