Training with Hitec Flash 4/5X
Does anybody know how to use the trainer jack and switch on this radio to train someone? I couldn't find any mention of it in the radio manual.
I would guess that you would get the cable and connect another Flash 4/5X with it, then hold the switch down to allow the trainee to train on the second radio, releasing it when the trainer wants to take over with the first radio. ?????
Good guess or totally wrong?

You got it. It will work with any Futaba or Hitec TX with a buddy cord connector. From my limited experience, it's the only way to teach somebody. The hand me the TX if you get in trouble technique is a sure plane killer.

Correct! The one thing to remember is that trims on the trainee's box must match yours (as well as any mixing, differential, etc) or you'll end up surprised (badly!) when you switch back and forth.
Power on the trainee's Tx is usually "Off", but check your manual, or the instructions that come with the cable.
