Got a 12VDC 13A OP Server Power Supply, but only 5VDC OP?
I have just aquired a 12VDC 13A O/P Server Power Supply to supply power to my DC field charger. I can only find + 5VDC O/P on the molex connectors. I'm assuming that something needs to be switch inside the P/S via a short across two of the molex connections?

Will do thanks...here's a picture of the molex-type connectors:
I think it's an ATX style P/S (NO EXTERNAL SWITCH). It came out of a server that had hot-swappable power supplies, so the moles connected to a back-plane. P-1 connector has the following:
yellow: 1 wire
purple: 1 wire
white: 1 wire
grey: 1 wire
red: 5 wires
black: 7 wires
P-2 connector has:
yellow: 2 wires
red: 3 wires
black: 6 wires
I found this PAGE detail info on how to turn on the P/S but I can seem to translate the procedure to this P/S. Sounds like I need to jumper +5V (which I've found on several nodes) to "Power Good" which he says is normally orange, but I don't have orange. I tried to jumper +5V and the purple wire, but the P/S didn't seem to turn on and made a high pitch whine sound.
When I power the supply with 115VAC nothing happens...no fan...nothing.
