Fixed Pitch Blade Fix.....Kits

I decided to do a limited run on the "Blade Advancing Springs" and offer a complete fix it kit for your stock blades.

Here's the link that started it all: http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=234469

We debated the wobble here, and there is tons of good information in there.

They are available now for the Smartech Aerohawk/Skylark/XR-1/Hummingbird/Dragonfly/and all clones style rotor heads.

Please Specify:
G109A: Aerohawk/Skylark/XR-1 Style Rotorhead
G109B: Hummingbird/Dragonfly/Colco/Feda/Clones

The kit will help get your fixed pitch stock blades flying and increase your flying time and reduce your crashes. They have proved to help with vibrations and the aweful dreaded wobble.

The kit will include all necessary hardware and the "Springs"

I am currently testing the "blade" stiffener modification as well and if it proves to reduce the coning effect, I will include it with the kits.

I am offering these kits for $12.00 plus postage, $2.00 Regular Mail, $3.85 Priority Mail and $5.00 Globle Priority Mail.

The "Blade Advancing Spring Kits" are going fast, the new carbon fiber stiffeners are working excellent and is reducing the coning effect by 75%! I haven't flown them yet, but the stiffer blades will make your stock setups stronger and quite possibly the last set of blades you'll need to buy. This is exciting new news and the fix it kits are going fast......Thanks for everyones patience Shipments on paid orders are going out today.

Blade springs are worth twice what I paid!

Ordered blade springs / blade stiffener kit from G, and all I can say is wow! My aerohawk was pretty well balanced, but would still vibrate at some rpm ranges. All better now!

I am really into hummingbirds, how long til the hummingbird springs are available. I will be ordering at least 3 sets and a few more after that also if they are what works best. At the moment I tighten the blades up real tight and set them by hand, this stops my heli from getting the wobbles but if your springs set them perfictly evey time, let me at 'um! Thanks. Matt

Matt....

I'm working on the R&D right now......planning is a function of funds.....and it seems the Aerohawk version isn't paying the way to get the prototypes done yet......but...there is light......and I'm working on it.....I'm in a financial crunch right now........and have located a pretty good source for parts to do the developement.....but.......again $$$ seems to come up short. I totally wish I could provide you and all with the fix it kits......but I am forced to stand down for now.......things are getting close......but right now......I'm grounded.

OK, I have like 90s and I can put my aerohawk mechanics on my hummingbird so I will give it a try. Do you have any head stiffeners for the aerohawk yet? If so, let me know how to order that from you also. I am paypal ready. Matt

Fix it Kits.....

Matt, the fix it kits.....are really intended for the stock blade setups so that newbies......in training.....can fly and get to FFF without expensive upgrades....but still fly. It's working for me really well. The increased head speed the like90's give you I don't think you need the springs.....although a sound safety measure......but not needed.

Thanks......again.....I'm always willing to help.....especially with cdroms.....you and Art know that......

I've been updating the instructions, but they are at home.

I think between the thread, the photos, you should be able to install it pretty easy.

The hardware should go something like this:

Screw
Fender Washer
O-Ring
Spring
Stock blade Washer
Blade
Rotor Hub
Small Washer
Nut

If you have the Stiffener plate under the rotor head you can leave out the fender washer....If you have a stiffener plate on top you should be fine with that call out and have plenty of bolt on top for it as well.

G109

Just sand the blades good at the blade root for a good bond with the Carbon Fiber Strips.
