Flash 5x for flying wing??? Elevon mixing - please help!

note: Mods, move this if you feel the need to, but I posted this here because it is a problem I am having setting up a flying wing.

Ok, this is frustrating.

At first check, everything appears to be ok, I move the stick right, the right elevon goes up, left goes down, and vise versa, elevator is working properly too.

Problem is when I adjust the EPA equally on both channels 1 and 2, it only effects the movement when I push the stick left, like say, if I turn the EPA down to 0% on channels 1 & 2 , I get no movement from either servo's when I push the stick left, but full movement to the right , and if I move the stick up, only the right servo moves, and when I move the stick down('pull up') only the left servo moves. weird eh? expo is off, d/r -off ail/rudder-off, elevon mixing is on. If I put the EPA back up to 100% on both channels (1 & 2) , everything is ok, but the travel is way too much, especially for my first wing.

The servo's are plugged into channels 1 and 2 in the rx, esc in channel 3.

The only thing I can think of, is that EPA doesnt work properly with elevon mixing on, which would make me assume expo wont work properly either.
If this is the case, my flash 5x will soon be in For Sale forums, as I specifically bought this radio to be able to use exponential on my flying wing.

Is anyone else using a Flash 5 for a flying wing?

Any suggestions??

Jay

Nevermind!

I did not realize that there are 2 values of EPA for each channel.(one for each direction of servo movement)

I had been changing the values for only one direction of movement, on each servo, causing some very weird results.

OH MAN!!!...

It's good that you figured it out....I was about to have you standing on your head in some very odd yoga positions in an attempt to make it work.

^

he did that with me. Didn't help my problem with the radio but certainly made for some very weird looking photos.
