There was plenty of new and soon-to-be-released goodies to feast the eyes upon at the 2015 Horizon Indoor; one plane that caught my eye was an all-new design from Western Michigan Park Flyers. The Skinny Dipper is an all Depron 3D airframe with a set of lightweight floats. While watching my friend Tristen perform endless rolling harriers with the Skinny Dipper, then fly slow approaches straight and level to Lake Spektrum, I realized the Skinny Dipper is a great platform for almost any average skill-level pilot.
There's not a whole lot to tell at this point, except that the Skinny Dipper will be available around December 15th 2015, and we have a recommended electronics setup below. I'll post more information as it becomes available.

I think 79.99 is par for a high quality depon kit like this. This means that it has a all high quality components it also comes with floats. This is also a rare breed too, it's a high performance 3D with floats!!! It compares to all of twisted hobby's prices, because it is a bit bigger when still being in the same price range as the smaller planes from RC factory.

Foamies on water is great fun! Ricky[/QUOTE] Foamies on water are great fun. We've had great time the past two summers flying various versions of these off the lake at a local park. The Skinny Dipper is fully 3d capable, able to handle a surprising amount of wind, and an absolute blast to fly off the water or snow. You guys really need to try one. Also, if you've ever flown EPP from water you will really appreciate the fact that it is Depron and will not absorb water like EPP tends to do. This plane flies like a balsa plane and but also retains the easy flying characteristics of a "foamy". It is quick to build and can be equipped with inexpensive electronics to make it a great "fun per buck" plane to fly. |

No credit for design, laser cutting. Bending wire and packaging? Nobody is getting rich here bud. Very fair pricing at WMPF. You get a lot more for your money than you see at first glance.
