Staying in Moorpark, need a place to fly (not on fire preferred)

I am going to be in Moorpark for a week, I was wondering if there were any good places to fly around here. Is "the cross" flyable these days? I brought my M60, would love to find a place to DS if possible.

It looks like there are plenty of "potential" flying spots, but accessibility is a different story.

I have been looking at Parker, it doesn't seem to be that far away. I have a minivan, will that make it up the hill?

Any help with directions would be much appreciated, it would be cool to meet some of you socal peeps while I'm down here.

Thanks for the help.

parker will be your best bet. I took my 92 ford taurus so I am sure that your mini van will make it. I flew at the cross one day and it sucked but its worth a try. There is power lines there. There is some nice looking hills around there but like you said your walking.

Parker is not that far and is the best place to ds without hiking.

cool, thanks for the suggestions....

Is the road going to parker open tho? I heard some roads over there were closed because of the fire.

It's not a rental... I also have a prelude that I would prefer to take, the minivan is my aunt's. If you made it up in an eclipse, maybe the Prelude will make it.

If it's accessible, I will probably take you up on that Joe.
