FS: Super Tigre S-61K
Anyone? New price $50 shipped. I have $50 in it just in new parts.
3. Super Tiger S-61K - $50 shipped - This is an older made in Italy Super Tigre. Its a ringed engine with ball bearings. Got it used on an older aerobatic ARF and flew it a few times, but the compression was not great so I replaced the piston and ring. Then after that it started making some noise, so I replaced both bearings. Engine has not been run since I replaced both bearings as I moved the radio gear from the plane it was on to another project. So on the plus side, its got brand new bearings and a ring and piston with 15 minutes of run time. On the down side, I had a hell of a time getting the drive hub off to replace the front bearing so its got some scratch marks on the front hub. Also, this one also has a chipped muffler mounting hole. Both of these are shown in the picture in red circles. Last thing is the muffler screws for this one were also in a box I lost, so I only have one muffler screw that I had spare in my box at home. Maybe not a beautiful engine, but a strong runner with a lot of new parts. Price is shipped in the lower 48. I have good trader's rating! $50 shipped? Anyone? New parts: piston $21 ring $8 Bearings $22 $51 in new parts alone Also, though I haven't run it since the new bearings were put in, I'll be happy to do so and tach it if you are interested. Duke |

Ok last chance. If no one can use it, then l'lll just keep the thing and fess up to the wife about the $60 I spent. THEN I'll have to buy a plane to put it in and it will be you guys fault when my wife gets mad at me for that too!
But seriously, I've got no projects coming up that would call for something in this size range so I'm open to reasonable offers. Thanks, Duke |
