Spinnaker name update/Tiger Mt. vid links updated

Hi All,

The mishap with the name is over (Spinnaker taken). Thanks to a suggestion I call this thing the Jib now. God, I hate all this names and this and that, but I see it's importance as a point of reference.

So, original downloads got my friends hosting service shutdown as it was effecting critical business servers. I warned him that there were alot of people in this rc community and the HLG people are everywhere too. It's cool to see so many now.

Cooler is the response to the vid! Thanks for the replies! Harold, I aspire to fly that well someday.

Flying the Jib

I met with John over the weekend and he hooked my up with a prototype "Jib".

I took it home and stuffed my gear in it and headed to the field (local high school). What a hoot! the small wing span does not seem to hamper this plane's abilities to fly even on a flat field.

I got to see a beta of the next version that includes some improvements to structure and an e-mail this morning tells me that they continue to refine the design.

Thanks again, John.

Ah,the little Jib.....

I too have gotten a chance to get my thumb on the Jib.I am admittedly an ameteur in Rc flight, but I am picking it up pretty quickly.
This little wing is amazing.....it can do things so nimbly in the lightest of lift and when it finds a thermal, you KNOW it! It is so snappy in its turns and response time. And get it on a good slope and it just surfs.

Happy Flying!---Bino

How do you get to that flying site?
What direction does that slope face?
I promise I'll let Harold have channel 28 if he's there.

Outstanding tunes on that video. Thanks for making the video available. Interesting glider you have too. That looks like a great place to fly with the wind out of the North. I thought I might have seen Lake Sammamish in the background. I might have to look that place up one of these days. Public access? Is that a park?
