Gws P-40

Does anyone know when the hobby shops are going to have this new one in stock?

Coming Soon!!!

From GWS this means......"Don't Hold Your Breath, It will Get there When it Gets there"

We all waited almost a Year for the P-51. Last fall they clobbered the Market with about 5 new models at a rate of about 1 per month.....then it slowed down again......

yeah good luck man! GWS takes there sweet time to release a plane after they say they are going to produce it, but on a good note when they do sell them I'll be first in line to buy one! Love the flying tigers!

I ordered one from Tower back in April (2005). It was put on back order with expected delivery in late May. Delivery date was repeatedly pushed back, last time I checked it was late August. I got tired of waiting and decided to cancel. When I spoke to Tower salesperson, she said it was listed as discontinued (discontinued befeore it was ever even deliverd to retailers?).
So, good luck to those waiting for it. I'm going for one of those 32" span built up ARF P-40s instead.

This is the most recent/authoritative information I've seen, and I watch pretty closely. And it includes stuff from the man himself.

The place to check for new GWS stuff (apart from the GWS website) is the "GWS announcements" sticky in the GWS forum in "vendors"

Thanks for the link Roger. That is the best thread I have seen discussing the P-40's delivery. Looks like a good winter build with lots of detailing might be in order for a GWS P-40.

I can tell you this: I've joined the GWS "Early Bird" program with the express idea of getting the P-40 and P-38 before anyone else...

Alas, neither of them are available to the "Early Birds" yet...
