For a table top go to Home Depot and get a sheet of MDF (Medium Density Fiberboard). Despite its name, it weighs a ton. It costs around $16 for an 4x8 sheet (3/4" thick), much cheaper than a decent piece of plywood. The thing is perfectly square and finished smooth on all 6 sides. Just cut to size and use!

Must be nice to have that much room! My workshop doubles as a garden shed and lawnmower garage... I have to carry half the crap out and set it in the yard if I want to be able to move. My present workship is a table saw I just got for christmas with a 2x4' sheet of ceiling tile, and an 8x18" piece of luan on the computer table for cutting & small assy. It's still sitting in the living room, lol. My wife keeps screaming at me to get the new scroll saw out of the hallway too (she thinks I take it outside to use it, heh, and she can go on thinking that, it doesn't seem to make as much dust as you'd think)

You think you got it bad, I actually built my X250 on my computer desk with the E-zone in front of me of course and the bedroom I have it in is going to be taken over by my step son. He just turned 2 and need the room so I'm getting kicked to the basement so I guess it's time to invest in a good electric heater. OH and I need a new computer desk too, I have a wood executive desk and the wife said no way is that going in the dining room with the computer.

Ya i had to clean the garage today but now there is more room. Sometimes when im lazy or its cold ill work in these rooms. But thats only if it doesnt invlove much glueing. One time i got glue on the pool table and well you dont want to know what happened. Luckilly my parents never come upstairs.

I use that table over to the right of the room for putting all my parts and stuff on. Normally its just my heli though.
