After reading some posts from people recapping their 2001 flight log. I decided to try this out for 2002. I'm off to a bad start as I just tried to remember the last few weeks. I don't know if I will keep it current...I did not even start it till this evening.
What do you put in your log book?

I record the following:
Date, Place, Temps (approx), Winds (approx).
And then for each flight:
Plane, battery pack, length of flight, and notes on anything interesting from pack installation to pack removal. Such "interesting things" include any glitching as well as any notes about the flight or a new maneuver I may be practicing.
Finally, when I recharge the pack, I add information to the given flight record the number of mAH the pack takes to recharge.
I've been keeping a log since May, 2001 and find it to be a helpful resource at times.

I am going to try to keep my log in Excel so that I can easily calculate numbers.
I don't think flight time would be of any use except with my gliders.
My initial entries in the log include:
Day of week
each plane has a column where I insert # of flights
29 flights on the year
5 days at the field
avg temp -57 degrees
avg wind - 6 mph
I've got to get a life!
