The Whole Truth About The Iraq War: A must watch documentary (87 minutes online)

"The Whole Truth About The Iraq War:
A must watch documentary

An impressive roster of experts is assembled to provide a generally withering commentary on the quality of evidence and possible motivations of the Neoconservatives who provided the momentum and muscle behind America's venture into preemptive war. The fig leaf of the possibility of an honest mistake on the matter of WMDs is stripped away; what is left is the stark and disturbing anatomy of deliberate deceit."

Sounds fair and balanced. I like the plug for MoveOn.org in the opening. Hmmm.

Of course it is, it is authored by MoveOn.org.

Really, HH, do you think anyone who does not already hate Bush is going to spend 87 minutes on a MoveOn product? Or that anyone who does will find anything new there?

MoveOn already weighed in on Bush with their famous Hitler commercial. Their executive director is Kerry's head PR guy. Not too persuasive.

Further,

...the doc is based on “an impressive roster of experts” not the move on founders, these are X CIA etc.

Also, are you both also going to allege that the following is partisan

WMD report shatters Blair's credibility

Tony Blair’s credibility over weapons of mass destruction is set to face its sternest test after his special envoy to Iraq conceded yesterday Saddam Hussein had stockpiled none

Politicians go on offensive to dodge the fallout from report

Even before Lord Butler's report has been sent to the printers, leading members of the Government have embarked on a concerted campaign to shift the blame for the fiasco over Iraq's weapons of mass destruction to the intelligence services.

It's a little optimistic starting a thread with "The whole truth". The subject has been discussed for about two years on this board alone and I've not seen much sign of anybody, doves or hawks, admitting we were even slightly wrong. Perhaps we should just accept that the truth is rarely entire and even more rarely absolute.
Maybe it'll go down in history as one of those "defining moments" for whatever reason and some future historian will wonder how a group, the majority of whom are men who play with toys, could have lived through the events with access to the same media without ever agreeing on anything.

I guess you feel there are some relevant facts here, HH.

The problem is that Moveon.org has no credibility.

I wouldn't expect you to watch a " documentary" by Rush Limbaugh about how the left has stabbed our country in back for partisan reasons.

You would say it was biased, and you would probably be right.

If this same group said that Iraq had WMD hidden and was a threat to the U.S., you wouldn't give them any credibility.

"The Whole Truth About The Iraq War: A must read documentary
There are only two things my departed daddy said that I MUST do. One of them is die. You're free to guess what the other one was.

This so-called documentary is likely just more collective partisan Bush bashing in the vein of Michael Moore's piece. Not likely to have any new relevations that the anti-Bushies haven't already been spewing on the blogs and underground sites for months or years.

As such, only those folks will likely wish to waste 87 minutes of their lives revalidating their views by watching it.

I wonder what we'd find, if we went down the list of "experts", if we asked how many of them are Democrats?

Credibility is more than a person's title. I saw enough of this "documentary" to see all of these people are EX employees. Why is that? I've lived long enough that a good portion of "EX" employees, barring retirement, are not always the best source for the truth.

For the record, I really considered watching this. Now that it has been revealed as a vehicle for moveon.org, well...hell no.

MoveOn.org is all the message one needs.

Sometimes, the messenger is the message.

Amen, ds.

I also actually began to watch it, and also noted that they all are "used-to-be's". I believe I also heard a low-pitched "grinding sound" in the background whine as well.

Also it's funny how the movie is only going to be online until 7/7, presumably for "bandwidth" reasons. MoveOn.org has some pretty deep pockets. Are we to believe they can't front the cake to keep this up longer than a couple days, at least long enough for all the leftist faithful to see it?

Or is it that they want it taken down before it becomes the target of debunkers from the right...hmmm?

Heh...a "drive-by" propagandist "documentary"...amusing idea.

This is a documentary?

I didn't know Michael Moore had a son who was trying to follow in daddy's footstep!
