Looking for a fast, sport plane that has very minimal build??

What do you guys recommend. I am int/adv and fly fast wings and hotliner/pylon ships currently but want a reliable plane for days when something goes wrong with my other planes. My requirements are:

-at least 37 inch span
-rudder and ailerons
-decently fast as I like to bring it in for high speed passes
-moderately durable (would prefer moulded ship)
-under $300 for airframe
-very minimal building
-I will be running a speed 400 or aveox brushless (have a 3 turn and 4 turn) and 9 cells gp1100...

Any advice appreciated...

Great Planes Electrostreak. I think it fits all your specs. I have mine outfitted with a Mega 16/25/4 and 9.5X5 carbon folder and 10 1950faup cells. Renamed the "Megastreak" she flies great. Lighter, faster and longer than stock.

I have considered the electrostreak but have heard that the ARF kit comes in heavy. Also, I am concerned about the strength of the wing for high g loading. I really like to make pylon style bank turns and was wondering if with a 3 or 4 turn aveox and 8+ cells, is it going to stay together??

If you think it is strong enough, then this would probably be it as I like the availability of spare parts with this plane.

The fiberglass fuselage ARF is probably heavier than the older kit, but I would not call it "heavy". The crappy 600 size motor and car nicads they expect you to use make it heavy. With my Mega and NiMh cells, it has double the power and weighs less than stock.
What size Aveox do you have to use? I think the wing is plenty strong and mounts very securely.

I have both a 2713/3 and 2713/4 waiting for new homes. As far as the electrostreak, is it difficult at all to launch with the mega? How about stall tendencies. I guess if it launches ok with brushless it would work out well. Also any stress cracks in the wing from high g manuevers, etc...?

Thought about the bandit but I don't know how "reliable" it would be. I have heard many a horror story when you slow it down to land... I decided to get a projeti because it is reliable (relatively easy to launch, fly, and land) and best of all it is cheap!
