Hi - I am using the Hobbico Quick Field Charger Mark 2 for Lipolys and other
packs. I keep a cheap multimeter with it, which allows me to moniter the
voltage increase as the battery charges. (plugs right into the charger) I
have tried to fool the charger by hooking up a recently charged 2 cell
700mAh pack - nothing exciting happened (grin) It also works OK on 3 cell
packs. One point may be that this charger is largely manual in operation -
you have to set the charge rate (max 1amp on Lipoly's) and most important
you have to select the correct battery chemistry each time you hook it up!
I'll probably keep using it until a dual output, software upgradeable
charger comes out at an affordable price! (or until I incinerate a pack!)
