Here is the TX V2.
http://www.oyajin.gr.jp/~toko/pic/00...trol-unit2.gif None of us use PCB. Koichi is still improving his TX/RX. Universal board is the best to build his TX. Yoshi |

Koshi,
First let me thank you for the help. As predicted- many questions: 1) V22 RX IR301BM(?) actuator coils < 200 ohm? what the motor eSC current limit? 2) V2 IR TX- C372/1815 is BC547B NPN etc as in JDM programmer circuit? 3) V2 IR TX emitters- ordered 5v 940nm 25 deg T1 package-ok? 4) range is .25 for .5 lower emitter count > going from 55 LED to 25 will cut range by .75%? whats ball park IR emitter count for illumination small rooms like 20x20? these are 100ma devices 5) in the picture below: Item 1...220 ohm resistor..dependant on number of LEDs? Item 2...to use less than 5 LED per "bank" or less "banks"... what do I remove/change? I will try to make a TX PCB using Eagle software ..will upload if it turns out well Thanks again Quote:

I do not have knowledge of electricity. Koichi can answer these questions. From my experience, 1) IRXA301BM needs over 200ohm coils. Current limit may be under 2A though, we did not try it to use over 1A because we are using this RX for ultra small plane. I recommend you to build new IRXA351BM. This RX can use 100ohm coil. 2) I do not know, and we are now using one IRLML2502 MOSFET instead of many transistors. PS2 controller TX may be nice reference. 3) 4) I do not know. We can fly planes in 3 basketball courts size gym by PS2 controller TX. 5) 220 ohm resistor is for one LED. If you change the numbers of LEDs you have to change the 10 ohm resistors to appropriate ohms. I do not know how to calculate. Yoshi |

Cross,
If you haven't read this thread already, check it out. http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=138578 I covers everything pretty good except for Koichi's latest rx. Dave |

Oh yeah
Read it? hehe, more like memorized it...also the PCB threads, DIY LiPo Charger and ALL 111 pages of this one! Have also wore out the pixels at Koichi's, Billys, Dewits, BSE etc... extensively downloaded info (and read it).
I started out in the late 60's and early 70s scratch building Galloping Ghost gear- remember Abbott Leithai(sp?), have kit built ACE RC 4 ch propo rigs.. Right now I have $130 in stuff coming from Digikey, Mouser, Maxim,Linear, RS to build initially 2 LT4054 chargers, 3 SHD v3 chargers, 2 V2 Koichi Tanaka IR TX(futaba comp), JDM programmer, 4or5 IRX301BM Main reason I'm askin questions is that the Search function has been turned off a lot recently so its hard to finds stuff in 100+ page threads Quote:

Cross,
Cool, because I have all my DigiKey stuff, and a programmer from Carl's Electronics, after I found the PICKit1 I had would not do the "C" series chips. Looks like we will be doing this side by side, that will be a help. I do photo-etch pcb's, but it will probably be a week or more before I get to the rx. If you are not up to that point by then I will send you one, but the laser/photocopy method seems to work very well and anybody can do it. BTW, billy reccomends doing a 1 sided version as it is easier and dosn't weigh much more. I will use the perfboard for the tx module.I am fired up over Billy's LRF that can do 4' circles. Dave |
