Hate to see you hanging around here thinking that you're being ignored.

FWIW - that little parkflier in my avatar is a Sig 1/5th Cub, 16 cells, MaxCim 13Y at 3:1 with a 15 x 8 APC-E. Even at 8lb 2oz, which Adrian Page never lets me forget is about 2lb more than his Super Cub , it flies real Cub-like for around 15 mins on GP3300 cells.

The 80"-ish Cub (my Sig is real 1/5th scale at 84.5", not the usual IMAA legal '80" and a bit" ) is one of the most converted larger electric subjects around. Do a search for the 'search' button and look around this forum for stuff on the Cub. As your's will be lighter than most at this size, you will get even better performance

I'm planning on ordering one on Friday. It'll have an astro 05 geared. I'm still not sure on the batteries, but I'm thinking 3s4p kokam HD1500 or 10 cell GP 3300.

I ordered mine about the first of June. Got an email from Adrian Page yesterday that the parts should be in shortly. He plans to be shipping soon.

Cool, I'm excited. I've got the motor on the way, and I'm already looking for covering options. My girlfriend is building the HL super cub, looks way cool.

I have one on order, plan to make it my first "serious " attempt at a scale model. If it gets fancy landing gear, fabric covering, flaps, lights, who knows what else, the weight (and cost) will determine power system. Probably a geared Astro but maybe an Aveox thats been looking for a new home.

BTW, am I calculating correctly that a 15 to 16 inch prop is reasonably correct for "scale " on this model?

I'm going to go with lights, flaps, and an 050 geared or an AXI - we'll see. 3s4p 8000mah Thunder Power pack or 3s4p 10,400mah Tanic pack.

Most likely going to use Aerospan and balsalok on mne.

Is aerospan a fabric covering?

Aerospan is an iron on coating which was reccomended by Adrian Page for this model. I am not that up to speed on it at this time - For more details on aerospan visit Balsa USA's website.

Have a sneaking feeling that Aerospan is either UK made Solarfilm or real close to it.

Lighter than Moneykote, pretty good solid colours and a good range of colours to help out when making a non-yellow Cub Even at this size, a sports scale model looks fine covered in 'plastic'.

Does anyone know of a good super-light weight fabric covering? If not, is there any reason not to use solite?
