All good the president of Lilydale is more than enthused to see Bikes there since he himself has 1/8ths and 1/5ths .Sooner than later I'd bet there will
be structured events there. http://maps.google.com.au/maps?f=q&s...11319&t=h&z=17

Hey Shaun... thanks heaps for the advice.... I have found a bloke in the U.K with both a Mclarney R500, and a Kp09... I was leaning toward the Mclarney, the forks and swingarm seem to be quite a bit nicer to me..... but then again... I don't know sh...

It would be good if we could arrange an interstate meet..... would love to hear some stories about your travells to the different world events you've been to....

oh... show us some pics of your fiarings... and the riders too please, might have to get some sent down to melbourne.... (I'm too busy playing wiyh the new mill to finish my attempt at fairings... but I'll get back to it soon)

anyway... thanks again... Luke..

Lilydale is awsome for the 1/5 scale running in reverse. I found when running my bikes at the 1/5 scale car titles (state and nationals last year). Coming onto the back straight, you can really open the throttle early because of the camber on the corner and get max speed up the straight.
If you get a regular race meeting organised, I will try to make it down some weekends. (I have relo's that live about 5 minutes from the Lilydale track)

So Jeff has finally gotten himself a 1/5 bike hay Shaun. He has wanted to get one from the first time he had a go of a bike at one of the 1/5 scale car meeting. If I know him, he will get plenty of practice with it so it shouldn't be too long before he will be giving you a good run.

Gate-crash....

I'm hoping Tropical Cyclone Ului doesn't gate-crash our race night this Friday night.

We can't miss two race meets in a row.

It has been a month since we last raced our bikes due to the weather.

See you all Friday night

(If worst comes to worst, who is keen to take up 1/8 scale bike racing at Logan on a Wednesday nights again?)

Cool the Kp09e roller has arrived! now to ask some early on issues. The chain when going over the front 11t counter sprocket actually bottoms out on the larger lobes of each link on the cylinder of the sprocket rather than saddling into the scallops of the teeth.Seems like a fresh Sprocket so I'm wondering if I'ts the wrong chain or vise versa?
Any links to some set ups or info on this bike would be much apreciated.

It sounds like you have mixed pitch chain or the front sprocket is badly worn.

Does the chain sit properly over the rear sprocket?

Hi yeah the rear sprocket appears to be decent and the chain seems to sit in it nicely. Its as if the notch/channel between the cylinder area where the grub screw is and the sprocket itself wasnt milled deep enough.Guessing just an incorrectly made counter sprocket.Asside from that the bike design looks fantastic cant wait to get this thing crankin.I think Im going to try and just dremmel the channel a tad deeper with a fiber wheel.

On another note any suggests on Motor/Steering servo/Lipo power?
Who makes bodies for the Kp09e?
Rim/tire combos.

I have a 3 spoke rear but the front came with some odd swept 6 spoke rim with a hex hub.Seems the internal axle spacer isnt long enough. When I go to snug up the bolts it puts tension on the bearing races and causes it to bind.
