Yeah, I gave Doug a call today (Tues) but he has'nt returned my call, yet..
Hopefully he gets back to one of us before the end of the week.. Looking forward to it too, it's a great track for the bikes..

I'm heading up Saturday definitely!

Here is the details of the email I received from the club sexy-tary.

The club committee will take a little time to discuss adding 1:5 bike to our regular schedule, so I am not able to give you an answer today. The committee should all be there Saturday if you wanted to discuss when you may be able to race on a regular basis.

Finally recieved a shipment of GPV-1 spares and upgrades in Aus...
I have just listed some here
It's taking a while to upload, but they are slowly being listed.

As a matter of fact, I just ordered an 09 mclarney. Pity it won't arrive before the weekend.

Well I'll still come for the meet, I know a few of the guys there and they've been keen in the past to let us race there as long as we have around 4-5 of us in the class.. I'm sure they'll stick us in for the day..

Still no word from Doug though..

Eden, looking forward to seeing the CF plates if you get them finished in time, all nicely machined and all..

Gidday Shaun,
I went to cut the plates last night and the computer on my mill has given up the ghost. I tried my laptop but it doen't have enough power to run the system. Unfortunately, I have to wait until my brother is back from Qld to come and try and fix the problem. I f he can't then it looks like I need to replace the computer totally.
Sorry, as soon as I get them cut I will send them to you.

pitts, thanks mate, got the motor! got it all installed but havent taken it for a run yet. I might get back to you for that xcelorin ESC, mines cheap with a capital C. I've got a growing list of parts (mostly spares) i want to get too.

I took the McClarney and the venom for a bash at Gilston last sunday, i swear the mcclarney (after some minor tweaking) has given me close to 5 seconds a lap and improved consistency heaps, i'm really happy with it. I didnt realise how much my old bike was slowing me down in the corners. I am convinced the biggest improvement comes from good forks but i can feel the benefits the chassis is delivering as well. Very happy, thanks Simon!.
The Venom was a bit of a shocker on the track, the ESC is pretty crap so you basically have to avoid brakes or just lock it up and hope for the best, it does handle well though, a bit of fiddling with the steering had it feeling really good. Its small enough that you dont really need much brakes at gilston anyway. I ended up just doing a section of the track instead of the whole thing because the pace just wasnt there but with the new motor and esc it should be much more interesting.

I hope we get a chance for a few warm-up laps at brendale, I think its been close to a year since i've run there.

Quick question... Brendale has covered pits with tables don't they. We only need our rc gear, seats & lunch?

Correct, pits are covered with benches and power, I would recommend taking chairs though.
