Yippee!
Hey Guys I Need some advice with trans and rec

I was wondering if you guys could help me out. I am in the market for a trans and micro rec. I think i have decided on the GWS 4p, which version do you guys recomend, I noticed they had several types, ex side post etc. Also i want to buy a trans that can grow with me, I plan on having a couple of planes that i use the tran for,( litestik, sp400 plane) I want one i can use on all my planes as i get them, this way i will not have to buy another radion in the near future. I Was looking at the hitec flash 5 what do you guys think? Money is a big issue but so is reliability. Please if you can let me know the cheapest place to buy these at..

thanks
Jay

I have a suggestion if you'll be flying mostly outdoors, vs. indoors. Make sure the GWS rx is the kind with the full-length antenna- it's 39" (1 meter) long. The half-length antenna version is for indoor use as it has a much shorter range.

The Hitec Flash 5 Transmitter is an excellent choice. I have a Flash 4 and Flash 5 Tx and I use the GWS 4RP receivers in almost all of my planes. Most of my GWS recievers have the short antenna, and I've never had a problem with range. I fly my models almost out of sight. I use the Hitec 555 rx in my larger (and more expensive) planes.

Thanks so much for the info, I just read another post about the skyport 4 for $29 what do you guys think about this for a starter radio? I know it has alot less features that the hitec but for only $29. saving this much money i can afford to get a better rec and maybe even a lithium setup for my litestik. what do you guys think?

thanks
Jay

Take a look at the Hitec Laser 4. Much less money than the Flash 5X (which I also have and like just fine).

It's an improvement over the old Focus 4. It includes mixing, end point adjustment and reversing.
