Upgraded SlowStick motor -- Goes slightly nose up under power.
I needed to increase the payload that I carry on my SlowStick (more gadgets). So I just upgraded it with a BL motor coupled with a EPS400C gear box. I mounted the 400C "inverted" -- that is, the motor is on the lower side rather than the traditional top side.
Now, under power the model goes slightly nose up. Relax the throttle and it flies true. It is irritating.
CG is correct. I have looked at the gearbox mounting and I cannot see a thrustline issue.
The model flew normally with the old power plant. Besides the motor change I now haul a small payload of stuff (about 20 oz AUW). Also, there is a camera mounted on a 6" pylon at the leading edge of the wing.
What might be going on?
