Himax 2025-4200... universal stuff. C gearing and an 11x8 prop with 3s and you're good to go!

Get a Hacker heatsink. xD

Cheers,

UZ

Depends on the performance you are looking for. I am very happy with the Himaxx 2015/5400 propped for 10 amps. That motor is good for 15, but gets very very hot approaching that.

I use the 5.33 gearbox (the one the kit comes with) and an GWS 9x5 DD prop. It is an excellent combo and I can fly at full throttle (old habits die hard) and not get my motor, or LiPolys (3s) too hot.

For all out I would up that to the 2025 motors at about 15 amps and really go.

Mine goes up till it is a speak even on my setup - plenty of power for any pattern maneuvers.

Hi,

is the AXI 2212/34 good to use on both 7 cell nicads and 3 cell lipos? Also is it powerful enough or too powerful for it? Thanks, Dan

Check out the motor chart at Parkflyermotors.com I've found it extremely helpfull in picking out prop, gearing, and amps. Motocalc scrambles my melon.
