FUN 400-36 on 10 Sanyo's => 11,50 V/38A/36340rpm/437W according to test data from Kontronik.
My own measurements is 36-37A on ~11V = 400W

The BL/FUN480-33 will be a little less on 10cells obviously but can handle more power. I briefly tried 10zapped CP1300's on the BL480-33/MF and got 380W peak fading towards 330-350W.

The FUN480 is longer and heavier than the FUN400, the Hacker B40S (short) is somewhere inbetween the 400 and 480 in size/weight while the B40L (long) is FUN480ish in size/weight.

Damm.... i should have known Motocalc was playin trics on me agian.

FUN400-36 on 10x CP-1700 in MiniFan 480

10,3 volt 28,5 amps 34500 RPM 293 W

Maby if i adjust the voltage by adding another cell.
Nope........

11,0 volt 32,3 amps 36800 RPM 357 W

You did that test your selfe Haldor. Becous i am going to take your word on it.
Getting myselfe the FUN400-36 to be sure i'll have a motor that draws enouth Watts.
Don't want no dogy planes.

Note - my CP1300/1700's are all zapped (gepushed) but not matched. I'd recommend you to get the same

http://www.mamo-modelltechnik.com/ have them and I can recommend them - great guys.

Best of luck!

Mmmmm....zapped.

Yes, i've heard that zapped cells deliver a higher voltage. And that this becomes even more apperent when unther heavy load.

But i always thought it would shorten the life of the cells and it's capacity wile only delivering very litle more volts.

Now i see that with the heigher voltage the motor also draws more amps. Getting more power from less cells.

Maby i need to get zapped cells.
If i can find some cheap zapped RC-2400's it would be great.

But for know i think i'll select my motor on the RPM/Volts as posted by the manufacturers.

I can do the testing myselfe. And if the combo dusn't give me enouth power i'll simply use a back with more CP-1700's.

Thanx for the riminder on zapped cells.

That might be because you here about F5B/D scene where they draw a helluva lot of amps and zapping is required. At those levels the packs go out fast.
It dont appear to be the case in sport models where the amp level is considerably less. The zapped cells also run cooler and heat is what damage the cells.

So for our use I doubt you'll see a lifespan difference between zapped or nonzapped cells. If you want power from your EDF's I would really recommend zapped CP1700's (or P2000NiHMs if amps are 30A or less.)

RC2400 cells in most 480MF designs end up being too heavy..
