3D ALBATROSS... Third time's the charm!!!
Well we're back....Hmmm, big in here!!! Let's fill it UP....hahahaha

Guys ...please don't post at the old thread .... this will be the new site for all Albatross questions....Management has done such an excellent job making this whole thing new , we don't want to p*** them off...Thanks....
Allthough the Albe continues to be our most maneuverable plane in the hanger, a competitor has risen to the challenge..... Today I built a Shoestring (actually 2) from my own plans (that's weird ?) and made it into a "3D" plane ..... flat airfoil ,profile fuse with crutch...lots of aileron and elevator (no , I'm not ready for a rudder ,that's why I haven't flown my chopper yet) a DCM-189/C/10x4.7/2cell lipos.... will power this thing at first .....If I can get my hands on the new APC 12x 3.8 for some testing ,I'll have to switch to the D gears.... everything is set UP at 0-0.... just like the Albe ,except this looks more like a "plane" than a spaceship....hahahahaha Is anybody else having as much FUN as I am ????? |

All done. AUW with Dual ipsD, ETEC700 2s, hs55's, ics100, r4p and 1047 is 7.25ozs This is a copy of the albatross wing and a P51 stretched in "Paint". CG as shown is right on GPW's suggested starting point for the albatross vtol. |
