When you drive/walk past a construction site and see a pile of foam sheets and think "just look at all those planes, waiting to be set free!". Jim

When you stoop so low as to convince your wife to come flying with you (to help carry the gear), by telling her that, "There are plenty of ripe blueberries on bushes all around the flying field, just waiting to be picked".. (The promise of fresh blueberry pancakes only works once).

While shaving this morning, I was listening very closly to the sound made my cordless razor and all the while wondering how large the motor was..

You realize you know WAAY too much about batteries. You forget the rest of the world is not impressed by Milliamps. You however are reading the Mah on the cordless drills at home depot thinking WOW. Also the only person in the store who would cosider making a big plane with a Dewalt power pack connector in the fuse for a "Plug N Fly" aircraft. The weight of all the extra plastic makes you put the drill down and move on.

When you buy a deep cycle marine battery and you don't own a boat.

When everything electric in the house has PowerPoles on it.

When you take your beard trimmer apart so you can use your SuperNova to charge the battery instead of using the little stand it came with.

When you no longer mind being dragged to the craft store, and actually look forward to the opportunity to graze for model bits.

When strip the central locking solenoids on your Mum's old Ford Escort to get at the 280 motors inside....

When you contemplate stripping your Uncle's perfectly good Trevor Bayliss-designed clockwork radio just to get access to the 400 motor within...

Sad, but true!

When your wife lets you in the house right after you come home from a flying session.

When your wife doesn't insist you shower immediately on being let in the house after a flying session.

When your wife burns your old slimer flying clothes, reckons Goodwill will go broke trying to get the smell out ...

When you get home late from work and still want to fly so you drive around after dark looking for a baseball field with the lights still on so you can fly a park flier. I just need to put some lights on my plane, maybe some LEDs.

...when you wake up in the middle of the night thinking you hear your charger beeping with a fresh battery pack.

...whn you can put your plane on your leather back seat and not worry about stains or smells.

,,,you can bench test a motor without earplugs or a well ventilated area.
