flypilot - I've developed the spreadsheet in Excel 2k & Windows XP, but I've never actually tried it in Excel XP - so there may be some incompatibility there. I'll try it out this weekend and see what I can learn.
Anybody else using the spreadsheet in Office XP? KC |

hello,
I just can't seem to get the spreadsheet to work for me. I get a "read only" format. when I try the following : Tools>Protection>Unprotect Sheet , I am being asked for a password which I do not know. I'm using "windows 2000". what am I missing here ? thanks, Oded. |

When you open the file, does it actually say that you're opening it "read only", or are you actually unable to modify the contents of cells and use controls? The sheet protection shouldn't affect your ability to use the spreadsheet. On the Main sheet, for example, you should still be able to use all of the controls without unprotecting it. Also, make sure you've got the macros enabled (Tools>Macro>Security>Medium).
What version of Excel are you running? KC Last edited by K.C.; Jun 29, 2004 at 01:30 PM. |

Hmmmm.. I've never tried it with Works, but I'm guessing that it won't work. It uses some fairly advanced features of Excel.

Larry - I'm not sure what to do about getting the spreadsheet to work on a Mac, since I've never tried it myself. All I can say is that you need to make sure that macros are enabled.

New Version Available
I've also updated the Component Data to include the Plettenberg Orbit outrunners and some Tanic Li-Poly cells.
Notice that the sample heli configurations that used to be included in the spreadsheet are now available as a separate data file, instead. This reduces download file size and allows me to update the examples separate from the rest of the spreadsheet. KC |

I'll be happy to add them to the default Component Data set. Brushless Motors Inc's website only has data for the CP20L-3600 and the CP50S-4400, so I'll only be able to add those two for now. I'll update the data file this weekend sometime.

I haven't played with the SS for quite a while and it has changed considerably. So much so that I don't know how to get off the front page. How do I do this? I downloaded the first option with the data files but I don't have a clue as to how to get going. I read through the the first posts on the previous threads but did not find the info. I am trying to play with configurations with a Eolo and Logo 10. Sorry for the noob questions.
