Yippee!
Anyone looking for a new parkflyer from Graupner? Check these out.

Found these in the Graupner catalog. Hobby Lobby I think can import just about anything from graupner the way I understand it. Check out these couple of pics....

A Nemesis and Mosquito. Look how small these planes are. Need 2 - 3 cell Li-po in 350 mah pack size per instructions. You can download the catalog from www.graupner.com (13MB) to view everything yourself.

The Mosquito is a mini Tipsy with V-tail! I like it! 100g is around 1/3 the weight of the Tipsy. Will download the catalog and see what else is new.

Those would be neat for CDROM power on 340 packs. I like small stuff!

Has anyone used Hobby Lobby to special order stuff from Graupner?.

There's also a Staggerwing, J-3 Cub, Gigantic B-29 with four motors, Agro Turbo, Mini Taxi, and some other really cool looking sailplanes. New Micro Star 400 Electric Helicopter with scal body kits (really cool). Has some new external rotor motors as well as some in-line motors. Some are for really big electric conversions while others are for smaller parkflyer type plans.

'Mini Taxi' is the name they gave what we here call the Harbor Freight 'Lightning' - goes for ~$7 on sale at Harbor Freight... Its a very nice flying conversion for the RFFS and other sub-micro systems.

Huh? I don't get it... I went to Harborfreight.com and didn't find anything called lightning. Am I missing something....

The graupner Mini Taxi is a trainer like plane with tric landing gear. Maybe it's too late.

What's "RFFS"?

Looks like they like to tack "Taxi" onto the names of a lot of their planes.
Here's the Harbor Freight Lightning:
Linkey

The RFFS is a micro RX and speed control combo that weighs about 2 grams and drives 2 magnetic actuators and small electric motors. The planes typically weigh about an ounce or less. They are a blast in the front yard.

Ahhh!

Now I understand. The Taxi from Graupner (both Mini and Taxi III) looks nothing like this one but I understand now. Makes a lot more sense now.

Here's a picture of their Mini Taxi and Taxi III.

The Nemesis only uses a 4" prop. Has to be direct drive on a speed 250 ???? 29.5g/dm sq for wing loading. One of you metric guys translate that for us "english" guys

Wonder why HL doesn't get all of these planes in at least in some limited quanities?

These would truly be parkflyers.

I don't know what a Speed 250 is (is that like a Johnson 250?) but the specs on the Nemesis come out like this:

Wingspan: 17.7"
Wing area: 55 sq in
AUW: 4.2 oz
Wing loading: 11 oz/sq ft

This little guy would be a wind buster of sorts.

I'm sure with a plane that small that you could get the weight down less than 4.2 oz's (that's sick in itself) but she wouldn't be a slow flyer. Go for it Martin, you should be able to handle it. We need a flight report!

One of these would be an ultimate back pocket flyer

The Mosquito is more of a "floater" with 23.2 g/dm sq. of a wing loading.
