My new babies
these are my two new babies I am helping to bring into the air
 The first one is Adrian Brittons Micro-Reaper a 22"span S400 version of Mick Reeves Super Reaper. Second is 30"span Mk5 Spitfire by Tony Nijhuis also a sp400 plane. The Micro Reaper is going to get a AC1215/16 brushless with lipo's and the Spitfire I will probally use my Mega1615/4 on 8/10 Kan1050's. Photos |

Micro Reaper is nearly all 3mm
Spitfire has 6mm sheet wing and fuse is mixture of 3mm,4.5mm,6mm and 9mm sheet. |

Here are some pics of the proto early last Summer on maiden flight(s!) day. Flew everywhere and anywhere, except the park, Trikky! Its very fast!
Has sp400, 720 AAA nimh and black Gunther. Trouble is that the pack gets a little warm. It is easy to fly though. Don't worry about holes in the wing for lightening with the incredible amount of power you are employing, you'll need the strength instead! |

Yes, Trikky, its taken years to get Mary to look like that. Lot of sanding between doping! It went the other way with me (first photo)...... malfunction. Keep designing faster models while flying skill deteriorates even faster!! Friends, like Tim (first photo - pan starboard) does maidens for me now - and flies my prototypes.

Adrian,
you have looked at my family photo's so you know there is no hope for me - no matter how much dope was used  )I also had a thought last night, have you tried/considered making the canard functional? Might just have to build another once this one is finished. Chris |

hi adrian, you said that you shouldn't worry about the lightening holes in the micro reaper wings because it needs the strength but i drilled them into mine. will it break!?

Just the elevator supported by grass (not pilot or cameraman)!! The canard's "elevators" are very functional on the turbine for take off and landing assistance. In normal flight, I'm told, they could probably do with some kind of auto return to a set (trim) position and lock out until needed. Anyway, Pablo, your wing shouldn't break, at subsonic speeds, its been tested in the great Welsh outdoor Wind-tunnel!! Now what's happening, Chris? I know Mr Modellator has moved this from Scale to this section. But I don't want to hear of anyone flying a Micro Reaper in any park other than "Jurassic"!! Adrian |
